My best advice is to start a mental or physical list of the items you find yourself touching/using/needing multiple times a day/week. It’ll help you decide what’s going to be truly beneficial to bring vs what will just be excess baggage. Aside from that, plan for the basics: hygiene products + replacements if you have them, bedding, kitchen utensils (pots/pans/silverware/A CAN OPENER/etc), and a backup supply of food/water if it becomes necessary.
Good call. Honestly the best advice I can give from there is to just set aside some extra cash for if/when you move in to the new place. It’s hard to know what exactly you’ll need up until you need it and don’t have it, so having the extra cash set aside can help offset some necessary purchases as you settle in. I’ve honestly found that it’s better to get things as you need them, stocking up ahead of time can just leave you with a bunch of stuff you end up never using
