i feel like saying “you aren’t entitled to forgiveness” is a better way to put it bc earn and deserve are synonymous

idk i think people can do some pretty terrible things and still be forgiven. obviously cheaters aren't owed forgiveness and not forgiving your partner if they cheat is entirely reasonable. but saying it's not deserved is a little far

not sure where you’re getting your info but deserve means to have earned something. entitlement is believing you deserve without having earned. i’ve looked at multiple vocab sources btw

No yeah i literally thought op was saying that cheaters shouldn't ever be forgiven regardless of whether they try to make amends 😭 very unclear phrasing
