like i’ve spent the last 9 years of questioning my gender with other queer ppl telling me im either attention seeking (nonbinary tmasc but not binary trans man) or an evil awful person who wasn’t safe to be around but im supposed to be happy abt that one bc its “validating”

Nb transmasc here. The three kinds of "supportive" statements I get boil down to: "omg you pass so well I couldn't tell you were ever a [REDACTED]," "Oh you're a man now?" *tells me something I do is now wrong because I'm a man* "Because you were a woman you must be a safe and manly protector of us cis women, thank you for sacrificing yourself, you're one of the good boys." You'd think people could just be normal. And yes, none of these respect my nb identity. 🥰
