I want to know what people think of this. I’m a passing ftm and I go to a lot of gay clubs with my other lgbtq friends to have a good time and maybe meet someone. I’m straight and into cis women but I feel like i’m seen as a straight guy hitting on them.

You are still queer and still belong. You can be cis or het, but not both. /lh

Genuinely trying to understand- You’re a straight man into cis women but you don’t want to come off as a straight guy hitting on cis women?

Tone tag! / to separate itself from the comment, and then a short indicator. “Lh” meaning “lighthearted”. 😊

I just realized I made a typo in my og message and meant cis guy. I know a lot of cis straight people who go in and hit on people who then get slandered for going into queer spaces. but im just concerned about being seen as one of those people when im part of the community myself.

Oh I see, your concern is valid OP, but I think a lot of queer people are good at not jumping to that conclusion because we know people pass. There’s so many facets to those interactions you’ll have while you’re out so it’s hard to give you a one size fits all solution without an example. Just know that you belong in the space, and if you get “slandered” you could explain or let it roll off your back cause you know you belong. Either way, live authentically. Good luck King
