 I commented on a TikTok that my cat is nonbinary because I said so and they have no concept of gender or sex organs, it doesn’t matter they are a cat. I MADE SO MANY PEOPLE MAD LMAO. So sensitive, because of how I gender MY CAT.

What erked me was the possession you feel over a living creature. It’s yours and thus you control everything about its existence and being. Including identity that it doesn’t have social structures to construct. And that it’s cute, not controlling behaviors.

i bet you gender them too. most people don't refer to their pets as "male" and "female", but rather "boy" and "girl". pets are not boys or girls. those words exclusively refer to human beings. so unless you refer to them by their sex, you too are guilty of goofiness
