I’ve tried out a handful of different names and recently I’m going by Amber. It came to me while I was talking with a friend about something completely unrelated that amber is really meaningful and poetically related to my experience with gender, plus I LOVE the way that it sounds. I think I’ll stick with Amber. Take your time and experiment. Honestly it can feel weird changing periodically but it’s part of the process for a lot of us for good reason, it works!

experimenting. tbh, i think that very rarely will you find The Name that feels perfect from the start. you’re starting to go by a new name after prob almost two decades of something else - ofc it’ll feel weird! give yourself time to see. i changed it in online communities first and that helped a lot
