Like hear me out: gender is fluid so why isn’t sexuality? Like YES you are gay, you identity as gay, and you live accordingly with the label. But, MAYBE (maybe) you see a woman on the street that you find attractive. If society wasnt so concerned about adherence to labels and fitting in boxes, we could actually love freely. !THIS IS JUST MY PERSPECTIVE! It’s not about the people, it’s about how society constricts us when love is truly indiscriminate and free. (Please don’t hate me guys)
yeah, I agree. As a nonbinary bi person myself, I also find it hard to comprehend how for monosexual people, if you take someone they find attractive and change nothing about them besides the way they identify, that would change their attraction. gender just feels like a set of loose implications to me, it gives you an idea of some of the traits someone may have, but once you know them really well, I struggle to see why gender alone should impact attraction or any other aspect of relationship
