If you can/want try to get a single with a private bathroom. It'll be the safest and least hassle

If they have them available it’s not unreasonable. But I went to a very small school where the only rooms with private bathrooms were for physically disabled students, as they were the accessible rooms with roll-in showers/lowered sinks/handicap toilets. If your school offers single rooms with private baths for increased cost, you may just be bumped higher on the wait list and still have to pay the increase

the only private bathrooms available at my school are exclusive to RAs unfortunately. my state also has a law requiring that we use the bathroom for our agab on public university property so… yippee

Small private universities ftw (it was cheaper than in state public schools bc of scholarships and the only school with my program)

i have a lot of scholarships and grants but i still had to take out loans too 😔 i almost had to drop out when they raised tuition this year

Use whatever refunds you get to go towards all your unsubsidized loans at the end of every semester 🫵🫵🫵🫵 I’m serious, those lump sums add up and help I lot. I was able to get over half my loans paid off just from that (I’m still 10k in debt but that’s so much better than 20+)

i don’t get refunds anymore after the tuition increase 💔 i’m quite literally just barely scraping by. just absolutely grateful for my parents’ help even though they’re dirt poor too
