Just fyi: “the all men are bad stuff” doesn’t just harm bad men. But it also harms marginalized groups of men that are stereotyped as “violent” or “dangerous” (black men, gay men, trans men, immigrant men, etc.)
Basically: it’s good to call out bad behavior whenever you see it, but avoid generalizations based off of race, gender, etc.

People don’t realize that saying men are inherently bad because they’re men is just giving them fuel to keep acting horribly if they want to, “boys will be boys” type logic

Probably a majority of men do bad things, excuse bad things, or don’t educate themselves, but there are some good people who are men and we can’t just pretend an entire gender is evil if we want to see change

Omg! Yeah it’s basically the boys will be boys nonsense but backwards (reverse?)

It’s not even reversed, saying boys/men are an evil gender or whatever and writing off horrible actions as “just something boys/men do” is basically just reducing them to something we have to put up with instead of something that should be fought against

Plus the “all men bad all women good” mindset ignores the fact that women can absolutely do horrible things to other people of any gender, women can also assault people, perpetuate bigotry, etc
It’s one thing to notice trends but it’s a whole other thing to be a bioessentialist
