Politicians would be transphobic regardless, we live in a society that relies deeply on gender roles to function in the same way it has for years. Also "the elites" is an antisemitic dogwhistle. You can criticize a group of evil, bigoted pedophiles that happen to have been organized by a jewish man without resorting to that.

it doesn't take any elites to convince politicians to be bigots. they do that by themselves. hate and fear are very powerful political motivators, and have been for the entire time politics have existed.

"the elites is an antisemitic dog whistle" JK Rowling is not a Jewish man, she's a billionaire. The problem is not an "evil cabal of jews," the problem is an evil cabal of billionaires. Jeffery Epstein was not evil because he was Jewish or even because he had ties to Israel, he was evil because he was a rich man with the power and resources to be evil. This is a critique of capitalism. Not Jews.

No no, it quite literally does. That is how systems of oppression work. People are not bigoted towards trans people simply because we are different. They are bigoted towards us because millions of dollars were spent on a massive media smear campaign over the course of several years to libel us as deranged, violent predators. The massive shift in public opinion is directly correlated to this. Fascism always requires scapegoats.

A lot of people view bigotry and oppression as a matter that affects interpersonal relationships, and while to a degree that is true, that is more the consequences of systemic oppression. What Ava Cordero’s story and the contents of the recent batch of emails reveal, is that the wealthy are calculated and structured in their efforts to oppress us.
