I feel this is similar as a trans woman in a lot of women and lesbian spaces as soon as you deviate even slightly from patriarchal standards of femininity suddenly all basic respect is thrown out the window and you’re a man again

I’ve been able to make friends with cis het guys much more easily compared to any other demographic once I started passing. It’s both affirming and isolating at the same time 😖

It was absolutely baffling. Now I’m friends with cis het men and absolutely love them. I made sure none of them were MAGA or conservative or any of the phobics before I befriended them. It feels weird to be friends with cis het men but they support me and make me feel safe and comfortable.
