at least among the people i hang out with we usually do a queer potluck once a week. we also make it a point that if we are going out to the club or bar that drinking and smoking are completely optional and not required

I feel this way too — I got sucked into nightlife/drug culture because I had no other way to have a queer community and it fucked up my life. It’s ultimately why I’ve abandoned most of the community and my identity with it

I live in Oklahoma too, there are a lot of queer groups on FB and insta that don’t involve partying, I promise
