Funny how this is the popular opinion but you guys want to say that trans men are included in this. Just say you don’t see them as men.
bi girlies can we and lesbians all agree that when we discuss our discourse and problems with the sapphic community and each other that we do not allow men to input their opinions? they genuinely just hate on lesbians to get in bi womens pants 😭

It’s about the experience of being a woman or being perceived as a woman. This includes trans men, who experience misogyny, and trans women, who experience misogyny. Cis men are pretty much the only group excluded.

Queerness is inherently complicated and messy. There is no point in policing each other. When people want to throw us all in the same fucking conversion camp.

Oh you’re trying a gotcha to say trans men who identify as lesbians aren’t lesbians lol. OP here: im a historian of LESBIAN HISTORY. I DO THIS RESEARCH FOR A LIVING. Trans men have and can identify as lesbians if they WANT to.

All of them have experienced misogyny. Before, during, and in most cases after their transition.

Except it’s not yall just want to position yourselves as eternal victims that can never be criticized. You can have a bad experience and still react in a way that is equally bad and harmful

I wasn’t aware that you were the single spokesperson for trans men, trans women, and cis women. What a great honor!

It doesn’t take a degree in gender studies to know that trans men are victims of systemic and endemic misogyny.

When trans men are born and assigned female them they have experienced misogyny… thats quite literally how our society is set up thanks to colonialism and imperialism.

Did you ask every trans man to ever exist this question to come to this conclusion?

Are you suggesting that someone who is assigned female by society could possibly not experience misogyny at some point in their life? Because thats just being willfully dense lol.

Did I say that anywhere? Why are you assuming that every single trans man has experienced misogyny? You’re responding to a point I didn’t make. I didn’t say no trans men experience misogyny. I asked how you know all trans men do.

You said not every single trans man has experienced misogyny. Read what i said. I said are you suggesting that someONE who is assigned female could possibly go through life without experiencing patriarchy and misogyny? Unless you are born in the woods with wolves, we experience social constructs against us everyday. Are you saying a black person could realistically exist in todays world and not experience racism? Im black and thats simply not possible.

At no point did I argue that misogyny doesn’t exist or that people assigned female never experience it. You’ve spent multiple replies arguing against positions I never took. Since we’re clearly not discussing the same things, I’m going to leave it here.

You said that not every single trans man had experienced misogyny. Reread what you said. I dont need to ask every trans man if theyve experienced misogyny at one point in their life. They HAVE because i understand social constructs and how misogyny works. I understand how racism works. I don’t NEED to ask every trans man. Thats like when discussing racism saying “well have you ASKED every poc if theyve experienced racism??”. Its not a necessary step because its an accepted fact.

Trans men ARE included in conversations about misogyny because they have EXPERIENCED it at least at one point in their life and may still continue to do so. No one is forcing them into these conversations. They are welcome in these conversations and often their experiences help us understand misogyny better. Just grow up and let people identify themselves.

you came into this “discussion” by offhandedly demeaning trans men lesbians so clearly you just want to start shit. if you want to actually have a discussion then make a post where you aren’t obviously unwilling to listen.
