I mean, there’s definitely some truth to this, and is also why transphobia is more… sharp? for mtf. Some religions didn’t consider lesbian sex as a sin either. However I don’t think that initial reasoning translates to homophobia being greed or gluttony, it is still prejudice against people. The goal to be “manly” and have lots of kids is related, but homophobia doesn’t help anyone do that, while racism directly helps people with the “get more rich” goal, so it seems like a more direct cause.

I think where I’m coming from with the point of greed a gluttony is that in a patriarchal world it feels more like the world just exist to be claimed by men and subject to male domination. The idea that the world is something to be had

oh yeah I agree it extends from that I’m just saying that homophobia or homophobic systems don’t directly benefit homophobes in accomplishing that, where racist systems usually benefit racists in some way. Like, it’s not advantageous to be homophobic rather than straight and accepting, since gay people aren’t like, taking people’s ability to be dominant and have kids or anything
