I feel like it’s more saying “if you allow the yippy Chihuahua in a no-dog establishment, it sets a precedent that will make someone feel way too comfortable bringing in their Rottweiler” which is true. If you allow small forms of hatred, people will get increasingly bold with it

And on top of that, the chihuahua shouldn’t be allowed either bc it’s a no-dog establishment. The fact that the chihuahua is there should be enough of a problem on its own, even if it didn’t embolden people to bring Rottweilers

If you want a group to be a space with no discrimination, set that precedent. You can’t pick and choose which discrimination you don’t care about and then act shocked when there’s more discrimination that you do care about later
