while i do find the idea of the asian pop category a little disrespectful (as well as some of the other separated categories) i feel like its a bit hypocritical coming from BTS of all groups after they spent so long releasing english slop pop songs specifically targeted at the english audience for the hopes of a grammy

They wanted that award because they were surrounded by big names of all places, now that there is an asian category, what makes it different from inkigayo and award shows? They were obviously going to win that section and not even be considered in the broad category with the excuse of already having the grammy in the asian category
