Heavily disagree on so many levels and thinking it was ever better is straight up delusional. You can still cater your own online life but it didn't get worse just because you didn't see how horrible it used to be.

Nowhere am I saying that the truly sick and threatening parts are worse now than it was back then. I was around for the gun threats it was genuinely horrifying. I’m saying that kpop fans don’t know how to interact with each other for fun anymore and it’s always just people creating arguments or being insufferable in less physically harmful ways.

There weren't just gun threats. Idols also got people attempting to poison them and far worse. Your comment was straight up false and incredibly insensitive.

They don't have a point. It's complete bullshit and if you act like it isn't you're part of the problem. You can cultivate your online experience but what you CAN'T control is the people actually causing real physical harm, and acting like it's getting worse instead of better is fucked up and point blank false

You’re truly missing the point. I was calling out how combative people are in these spaces and comparing it to a time that people were kinder to each other. NOT negating the horrific aspects of it.

Again, no part of this was negating how disgusting some sides have been, I’m talking about my experience in kpop spaces- which I’ve been in a lot of since Ive stanned a lot of groups for a very long time- and was ranting bc the weird comments make their way onto the good sides- which EXISTED despite how vile the other sides were. Honestly that just helps my point bc if people are being less nasty, why aren’t the “good sides” as fun and heartwarming as they used to be too?
