Al Jazeera is literally banned by Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, India and even the Palestinian authority. Al Jazeera has zero credibility, especially after one of their reporters was holding a 10/7 hostage in their house.

Oh that’s not-

It’s a reliable source in things that the Qatari state doesn’t have a significant stake in

Anonymous17w

i agree in cases related to qatar they are unreliable. i think otherwise they are.

Anonymous#317w
qatar and anything the qatari government has a political, security, military, ideological, or financial interest in which is unfortunately a lot of things
17
Anonymous#517w
this is a fair viewpoint if you are consistent. do you see us news companies as reliable news sources?
-1
Anonymous#317w
i think us news companies each have their own biases but since they’re not government sponsored it’s not necessarily in the interest of the US gov’t. i think all state sponsored newspapers align with their governments
8
Anonymous#517w
us news companies are profit driven so they more often cater to a specific audience and try to increase engagement through outrage
16
Anonymous17w
There’s a huge difference between being profit-driven and being quite literally the mouthpiece of a government
15
Anonymous17w
… it doesn’t necessarily it just makes it a different source/direction of bias. us newspapers can have many different biases and levels of biases besides pro-gov

Anonymous#517w
but #4 is also right because we have free press they’re free to say whatever they want, they’re not the mouthpiece of an administration

Anonymous#517w
unlike al jazeera nothing is directly telling us news what to say or what not to say they just say whatever appeals to their audience
