A commenter I was responding to blocked me, so I’ll make a separate comment here, but to say that ethnonationalist states embolden the human rights violations of other ethnonationalist states is not to blame the victims of the violations of either, regardless of their political views. Zionism is not to responsible for that repression anymore than a person choosing a route home going through an unsafe neighbourhood is responsible if they get attacked, it puts us at greater risk
