I agree with the first part. remember that violence begets violence and Hamas is a reaction to genocide and colonial occupation. If we root out the source of violence, the nation state of Israel, hamas would naturally materialize and evolve into a more democratic group. Rn, however, the focus is on dismantling the colonial state asap

Hamas, while a reaction to genocide, has actively stated that their number one goal is to eliminate Jewish people. Their hatred extends far beyond just the Israeli gov which represents a diverse state of ppl. They are rooted in antisemitism and I doubt would evolve into a democratic state. Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East.
