i don’t think it matters whether mamdani himself is antisemitic. tbh i think lately the way he approaches jewish issues has been much more thoughtful and empathetic. but in the past he has said and done things that both jews and antisemites interpreted as condoning antisemitism (whether that was his intention or not)

They already did feel able to, and already were doing so He’s not in office yet, some of us feel safer under leadership of him and people like him based on how he would govern, we haven’t seen the effects of his governance yet
