I don’t understand ppl who make Aliyah. Yes the land, villages & religious sites are so important to our history & story. But I can’t live anywhere that subsidizes my life at the expense of another group. I can’t move to a land where only half are free :/

I see what you’re saying op but between US and Israel, they both have the horrible abuses of human rights in occupied territory and against certain groups generally. I know people who make Aliyah because the antisemitism they’ve been facing in the US is too much for them and they wouldn’t have to deal with that in Israel. I think as long as you make an effort to help in the fight for equality in the way that you can.

Okay genuine question: how is Israel safer for Jews than the US when they’re constantly attacking/getting attacked by other neighboring countries

Israel has really good defenses, especially for major cities. So while there is danger from external sources, it does not pose as much of a threat as it seems (in large population areas). Walking around casually it feels safer. Its not safer than the us. It’s a trade off between casual antisemitism and external dangers
