This is the kind of rot we have in the Jewish community. Look at the thread. Some Jews will literally align with Neo Nazis before defending themselves

It’s trying to suck up to antisemites and convince them to please please please do politicide and not genocide please please only kill the Jews who disagree with me politically I wouldn’t exactly call it aligning with neo-Nazis as it contradicts their propaganda line too much but it’s fucking pathetic regardless

That’s so dumb. Or OR if you hate on all Jews and associate them with the Israeli government then you actually fell for jihadi Yahtzee propaganda

It’s a post implying all antisemitism is because of Israeli propaganda. It’s fucked. If your response to Israel is “fuck the Jews or kill the Jews” it’s not because of Israel. It’s because you are a degenerate antisemite. If you excuse antisemtism because of Israel you are also a degenerate.

also OP i think this person IS defending themselves and they’re throwing all the rest of us under the bus to do it. “don’t hurt ME, most of them deserve it but i’m a good one!” awful

While I do agree with you, I wouldn’t consider that defending one’s self. It’s just sending the rest off to the slaughter in the hopes they forget about you when they’re done with the rest. Moreso delaying the inevitable and crossed their fingers rather than defending.

Maybe when Israel conflates itself with all Jews (the liberals talking heads who like Israel and nazis who don’t like Israel do this too and it’s the predominant position to take in mainstream media), Americans who are the most brainwashed people on earth will eventually do the same, rather than come to an understanding of how modern imperialism functions

Israel is the only country liberal America offers this standard to. Not one liberal judges all Muslims on Iran’s actions which they do in the name of Islam. The act of singling out Israel is inherently antisemitic because it does not apply the same standard to Jews because we are Jews

Do you not know how examples work? I Literally didn’t make the conflation. I pointed out that people don’t make that conflation. I wasn’t saying people should, I’m saying people don’t yet do for us. The conclusion should be that they shouldn’t conflate for Israel, not that they should for Iran

You essentially just said criticizing/“singling out” Israel is antisemitic. Please get serious

Holding Jews specifically to a higher standard because we are Jews is antisemitism. Holding Black people to a different standard because they are black is racism. Holding women to a different standard because they are women is sexism. Consistency matters

It’s not holding Israel to a higher standard. It’s recognizing violations of human rights and trying to address our complicity as we directly fund these atrocities

And what does any of that have to do with what this whole post is about? This is about someone claiming Jew hatred is Israeli propaganda. Is Islamophobia Iranian propaganda?

If they were true then why doesn’t that apply in practice to Islamophobia and Iran and its proxies? That’s the point you’re missing. You’re getting so angry at me on my post for not understanding MY point

Israel and its allies conflate itself with all Jews as a way to deflect criticism as being antisemitic. So when legitimate criticism is labeled as antisemitic as it always is, then people are gonna accept the conflation between Israel and all Jews as true

A lot of liberals absolutely judge all Muslims based on the actions of Iran or Saudi Arabia because a lot of liberals hate Muslims just like a lot of liberals hate Jews. Like, love him or hate him Zohran Mamdani had some of the most insane accusations levied against him by liberals like Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand that she had to retract later. I have liberal family members who say hateful things about all Muslims based on Iran’s actions, “liberal America” isn’t always so liberal…

If you’ve ever been on Twitter, you cannot defend the Jewish people without being shut down with “That’s Israeli propaganda.” This was an entire discussion on whose fault antisemitism is and when told to blame Jew haters rather than Jews, they resorted to “That’s Israeli propaganda.” Side by side it’s the same interaction I’ve had with every Neo Nazi on twitter

That doesn’t make every instance of someone saying something is Israeli propaganda a neo-Nazi talking point, sometimes it is and sometimes it isn’t…

I’m not talking about every instance. I’m talking about this instance. Of 2 Jews talking to each other and the other resorting to blaming Jews for antisemitism and yelling “Israeli propaganda” as an answer for everything. Sometimes it is and sometimes it isn’t. This time, it mirrored verbatim what I experience from neo Nazis on twitter

I mean Israel and its allies consistently conflates itself and Zionism with Judaism to defend themselves. Like are we seriously gonna deny that the pro-Israel liberals and anti-Israel nazis aligned in conflating Judaism and Zionism.

Again, even if every Jew outwardly supported every action Israel did, that would in no way justify Jew hatred outside of Israel. I do not and we should not excuse people’s hatred of Jews because Israel did something. People are fully capable of separating a country in the Middle East from Australian Jews, and it’s disgusting to even concede an inch to anyone who goes “well you know, Israel IS doing all that stuff, it makes sense why they wanna kill us.”

Sure, but antisemitism and that conflation existed before that and will exist after

Yeah but antisemitism isn’t rising in a vacuum and refusing to recognize Israel’s role and responsibility in this dynamic for how it carries itself as “THE Jewish state” (as it likes to claim) in which people react to Israel’s actions is not going to help stop antisemitism. Israel is playing a significant role in rising antisemitism and its leaders have no qualms supporting antisemites in countries. Pretending like Israel’s actions and rising antisemitism aren’t connected is silly

Anonymous replying to -> #3 1w

There is a difference between saying they’re connected and saying that the antisemitism is because of Israel. Antisemitism started rising before 2023, Israel’s recent actions and statements have been used in propaganda to hasten that but that would’ve played out quite differently if we weren’t already in a time of rising antisemitism

rising antisemitism in western countries is both connected to and in large part because of what people can see Israel doing and how they’re politician run cover for and support these atrocities. For example When people are told that saying israel is starving babies is blood libel by their political institutions, the idea that antisemitism is bad or problematic doesn’t carry a lot of weight for the average person who doesn’t think a lot about this stuff

upvote 5 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #6 1w

To me it feels like you’re but you’re still trying to downplay Israel’s role in this dynamic. Israel is the center piece issue of every major American antisemites rhetoric nowadays for a reason: because their doing heinous shit that would reflect badly on Jews to a person buys into the idea that Israel is the Jewish state that acts in the best interest of Jews

Anonymous replying to -> #3 1w

But again, the dynamic was happening before Israel. If antisemitism, Christian nationalism, and ethnonationalism more broadly weren’t already ascendent in this country, they would’ve have had the audience to be able to propagate those talking points and grow in the way it has, and the anti-imperialism rhetoric that in this country has historically been the primary angle of criticism of Israel and war crimes committed by it would’ve remained where the overwhelming majority of that energy went

It doesn’t “make sense why they want to kill us” or justify any of it in any way but it does make sense how accusations of antisemitism have been defanged by the spokespeople for the State of Israel saying people are doing blood libel when they describe things that Israel had done and have been filmed And when people stop taking accusations of antisemitism and blood libel as seriously, because they’ve seen so many spurious ones, that makes it easier for actual antisemitism to spread
