Antisemitism IS bad in Europe and the U.S. but there is a difference between the antisemitism in the west and literally being forcibly expelled from countries across the Middle East when it comes to the role Israel plays in our family’s survival.

I mean the destruction of the second temple and displacement was more due to the repression of the Roman Empire and how they retaliated against anyone who tried to rebel against them than a particular antisemitism, but they’d go on to use Jews as tax collectors in an attempt to get other peoples’ resentment for the tax collection to be displaced from the empire itself onto Jews, and that was one of the major roots of antisemitism
