All the Muslim majority countries are against Israel because Israel is the one displacing the Palestinians and the Palestinians don’t have a state

There’s no Jews in Malaysia nor many Israelis but there’s a lot of antisemitism from third world internet slop and Islam

there’s more context to this. malaysia doesn’t view israel as a country, so passports are illegitimate. any israeli who enters without special permissions will be deported. there is also an ongoing investigation into tech related activity there that has to do with israelis. not entirely clear on the whole thing but i think it mainly comes down to the fact that malaysia seeks to continue to delegitimise israel.

getting downvoted as if i didn’t provide more to the conversation. i’m clearly pro-israel, in case that went unnoticed when i mentioned that malaysia is continuing to seek to delegitimise israel.

no, most of the world really isn’t. someone failed human history. settler colonialism was/is primarily practiced by the european states and their descendants

so considering africa, asia, the middle east, the americas, australia and new zealand, isn’t considered a large part of the world? settler colonialism is also practiced by non-europeans. many MENA countries practice settler colonialism. but yeah, i failed world history because i know that settler colonialism isn’t exclusive to european states and/or white people.

sorry, let me rephrase my first question so it’s more grammatically accurate since lack of sleep seems to be taking over my basic english: so africa, asia, the middle east, the americas, australia and new zealand aren’t considered a large part of the world?

morocco deadass has a settler colony in the western sahara but that’s european colonization. what about liberia being the only black settler colony? how about ethiopa? was emperor menelik european too? like you’re the one who clearly is uneducated. the middle east, prior to western colonization, experienced arab colonization. look up the muslim arab conquests from the 7th and 8th centuries. settler colonialism isn’t a new concept and predates european settler colonialism.

note that my “but that’s european colonization” in the first sentence was sarcasm. the settlers in the western sahara are in fact moroccan.

liberia was established by the American Colonization Society, under the premise that 1) Black people were incapable of assimilating into white society, and 2) that whites would never allow Black people to integrate. it was conceptualized and funded by whites, initially governed by whites, and operated under the same supremacist framework of the U.S. naturally, the same social relations that poison other colonial societies also poisoned Liberia

china is also a great example of a country that is not european but partakes in settler colonialism. japan in the 1930s also partook in settler colonialism. the list goes on.

Arab “colonization” differed from European settler colonialism in a key way. genocide. European colonialism displaced and eradicated indigenous nations, whereas Arabization really influenced the culture and religions of the various peoples whom were Arabized. they were not wholly displaced or eradicated like the indigenous nations in the Americas or Oceania

yes, i’m aware of the history of liberia but it doesn’t take away from the classification of being a black settler colony rather than a white one.

a “Black” settler colony, founded by whites. interesting. the Liberian exploiter class was functionally white, much like israelis are functionally white

you do realise over half the israeli population is considered not white and not even functionally white, right? like the majority couldn’t pass as white even if they tried, including myself.

whiteness has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with the relation to colonialism

also, arab colonization did not influence culture and religion. it forced it upon people. arab colonization operated through military force and discriminatory legal systems. you make it sound so innocent when historians largely agree that it was not how you claimed it to be. the total erasure of existing cultures also occurred during that time.

Plus the governments of their religion doesn’t see Israel as a legitimate state with the exceptions of Egypt, Morocco, Bahrain, UAE, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Uzbekistan since normalization only because of military reasons.
