The Anti-Semitism everywhere is exhausting. People are now blaming us… US… for people being antisemitic. I’m so tired of this bro, no group ever has been held to this much of a double standard

No literally if you bring up antisemitism the next comment is omg it’s so bad! And it’s all because of Israel! If only Israel didn’t exist there would be no antisemitism! Because obviously there never was any before Israel

I see ppl blaming Israel and that’s valid af as their aggressive and violent foreign policy is being framed as being done in the name of Jews. Israel is the fucking problem and making all us unsafe

what i mean is that they literally called all jewish people colonizers with absolutely zero context and without anyone bringing it up at all. like what the hell

If someone is being antisemitic no one is “making” them. It’s their fault. You can’t blame ISIS for someone’s Islamophobia.

Never said anyone is making them antisemitic. You have to have a materialist approach and look at what material reality is creating our current material conditions

And what was creating antisemitism for thousands of years before Israel existed?

The great replacement theory. But that’s now being directed mostly at Muslims and brown people

The great replacement theory is not thousands of years old. Antisemitism always finds something to latch onto. And again, you would never say that the blame for Islamophobia lies with Al Qaeda or ISIS. It lies with the Islamophobes.

These are the same people that don’t believe anything Israel says but magically when they say they stand for Jewish people all of a sudden they take them at their word

The concept of blaming a minority group for all of the country or nation’s problems is millennia old. The rise in Islamophobia is also mostly the result of Israel’s destabilization in the region. Groups like al qaeda are a response

And the people doing the blaming are the ones responsible! Point blank! And you could say Israel was a response to antisemitism/ the holocaust the same way you are saying al qaeda was a response. It doesn’t matter. The bigots are responsible. Not the members of the minority group being affected

I don’t think 1 is saying what you’re claiming they’re saying. Also observation isn’t justification. 1 can correct me if I’m misunderstanding them but I believe what they are trying to say is while antisemitism is ancient & evil. Israel doing things that the vast majority of people find evil, while also claiming that those unpopular actions are done in the name of & supported by all real Jews adds to the problem & doesn’t help at all.

It also doesn’t help that same sentiment is echoed by mainstream media & both political parties. Again I apologize if I completely misunderstood what they were trying to say.

All I’m saying is that it doesn’t matter how evil Israel is. Saying that it is the “cause” of antisemitism is false. Antisemitism existed long before and will flourish long after

And if you are blaming Jews for whatever Israel does YOU are the problem. That doesnt excuse Israel in any way

Again this would be obvious for any minority group. It doesn’t matter what ISIS, Al Qaeda, the taliban do, no one who considers themselves remotely progressive would say they are the root of Islamophobia.

My mistake I said 1 instead of 2 lol typo on my end. Yeah I understand what you’re saying I was just saying I think 2 was saying something different. It’s antisemitic to associate all Jews with Israel’s actions. At the same time that’s what Israel, our government, & main stream media does regularly. Long story short I don’t think 2 was saying Israel is the sole reason of antisemitism but was instead saying Israel doesn’t help & only makes it worse with it’s actions & claiming that it’s

Also you say it would be obvious but let’s not forget while you’re 100% correct the average American is stupid & doesn’t think beyond what their individual media diet tells them regarding marginalized groups that they don’t normally interact with.

Yeah but the State of Israel is also a problem because Israel is also collectively attributing to all Jewish people the actions of the state, the state itself is pushing antisemitic lies
