Someone who is supportive of Hamas does not make them a militant or a combatant. We wouldn’t suggest it’d be justifiable for Hamas to kill Israeli journalists for supporting the Likkud or Mafdal–RZ, right?

Yes, and targeting civilians including journalists is a war crime, Israel has admired it targeted these journalists deliberately but claimed they are militants, which they have provided no reliable evidence of

Holding a camera sometimes doesn’t completely protect you from hostile attention if you’re holding a weapon other times. You people think that when combatants go home for the day they’re no longer combatants? That you can only kill your enemy when they’re actively shooting at you? No one wages war this way anywhere in the world, especially not in the Middle East.
