It’s very conflicting identifying as a liberal Zionist. Bc I find myself agreeing with a lot that conservatives say about Israel. But nothing else they say. I find myself agreeing with liberals on many things, but not on Israel.

I went through the exact same thing after October 7th. It was isolating and it made my political identity feel nebulous beyond words. I can no longer say I’m a liberal democrat, because of what we have both experienced in regards to Israel and antisemitism. I now find myself to identify as a moderate democrat, but I don’t find myself particularly attached to a political identity any longer. I wanted to share my experience so you know you’re not alone in your conflict :)
