Antizionist “rabbis” try to understand anything about the religion challenge. Difficulty: impossible

Why would that “rabbi” say it’s disrespectful. Wearing the kippah to support his wife is the ultimate form of respect for her and the traditions.

just because that rabbi doesn’t know basic halacha does not mean we should invalidate rabbis for being antizionist.

Kippahs are a rather new custom. It’s only like 500 years old and really the idea is to cover your head. He doesn’t need to cover his head, he’s not a Jew, but from my viewpoint, this is akin to wearing a hat. There’s no disrespect. There is an idea for Jews shouldn’t wear a kippah openly if you are doing something that other Jews could see. For example, a Jew with a kippah should be careful entering/eating at a non-kosher resteraunt because maybe a Jew could see and think that because

I like the comment pointing out that even Mamdani wore a kippah. That “rabbi” is a weapons grade schmuck.

This person is religious, that eating at said resteraunt is permissible, but that’s not really applicable to this case so as long as he doesn’t publicly eat a ham sandwich with the kippah, I think it’s fine. Disclaimer: I’m not a rabbi and this is not halachic advice
