I jus find it a lil funny that you said not participating in a holiday that many families including my own have been celebrating for years is “pretty easy” like my parents are going to let me bail on the thanksgiving dinner bc I don’t agree with it. It’s giving privilege lowkey

It’s giving privilege bc my immediate family can’t afford to cook up a whole thanksgiving dinner for just the four of us and bc 3/4 of us were working yesterday? Okay

Did you consider the possibility that different people have different kinds of privileges towards different things? And lots of people do Thanksgiving without the whole thanksgiving dinner and just make by with what they can..

How the hell is it privileged in anyway to not celebrate thanksgiving bc we were working and couldn’t feasibly prepare a proper thanksgiving dinner with the limited amount of time we had off yesterday. Pls explain Ok and we didn’t want to do that like? There was no way of preparing turkey with my parents’ job so what’s the point if you can’t have turkey. & we prefer Mexican food 😭

Literally, my post was just asking who also isn’t celebrating and in my first reply I said you can celebrate however you wish, this is what we’re doing 😭
