The op of that post has clearly never spent time around many other Jews. I’ve met Ashkenazis with darker skin than mizrahi jews. I’m related to some Iraqi Jews that have fair hair and light eyes. It’s only recently in the us we all get labeled as white. We certainly were not white enough during the holocaust.

I am half Sephardi half ashkenazi so I have cousins that have not a drop of European blood and they’re white. people forget that the Levant has light skinned people skin people

Plus our people have been united and strong regardless of if we were “white” or not, we’ve pretty much nearly always been in the out group, we don’t care nor do we need to be seen as “white”

Facts, I’m mizrahi and I’m literally pale like paper, it doesn’t matter how we look at the end of the day, we can’t hide from our Jewishness and that much is obvious! Plus beta Israel Jews, Indian Jews, Chinese Jews, etc. like !!

You should look into the history of Israel from the past few hundreds of years! The Islamic imperialist colonial movement is why Jews and Israel are one of the only remaining indigenous groups with a majority in their homeland left in the Middle East, see: coptics, berbers, amazigh, Zoroastrian, phonecians, Mesopotamians, koshitic, etc

Yes we were only recently labeled as white—well I still usually don’t get labeled as white, but that’s beside the point—but the Holocaust wasn’t about being “white,” the Nazis had a different racial hierarchy and their supremacism was about their invented “Aryan” race that also didn’t include many other groups that’re commonly regarded as white
