i saw a poll that 61% of change bloc voters want eisenkot to form the coalition with ra’am and joint list and all the party leaders are signaling that they’re considering it

Most people don’t want to do that so idk if it’ll happen

I feel like Ra’am will join the opposition coalition but tensions are high because Abbas refuses to call Hamas a terrorist organization which is a hardline for Eisenkot.

Which is nuts. These are citizens of Israel who deserve a voice in government just like everyone else!

Yeah they have too much support for the Palestinians as well. Both things are none starters for most citizens.

AnonymousOP12h
They have a voice in government, it’s just not a popular one

there’s a lot of sticking points with people crossing other people’s red lines but at this point they all have the same big red line which is no bibi so not to jinx anything but i’m hopeful

If the math works out he might need to dump Lieberman and do this. That’s borderline though and these exit poll results keep getting worse and worse for the anti Bibi block
1
AnonymousOP11h
yeah the exit polls look bad but i think lieberman might budge
1
Anonymous#411h
i think universal conscription and being in the governing coalition is more important to lieberman than not sitting with ra’am

The results coming in right now are scary
1
AnonymousOP9h
are you looking at exit polls or results? only 30% of the votes are counted and its not a representative sample so i wouldn’t worry too much about what that looks like, it has more to do with what order things get counted
1
Anonymous#49h
I’m looking at both. 1/3 leaves out most votes but it’s still a decent chunk and the tail end tends to favor Bibi which is scary
1
Anonymous#49h
exit polls have been fluctuating by a few seats but they do that and i’m just ignoring channel 14 because its a huge outlier and sucks up to bibi like crazy
1
Anonymous#49h
the news tends to make everything look hugeee even when its just a fluctuation in how much data they have. no matter what, he lost the knesset
1
Anonymous#49h
Oh yea channel 14 is not based in any sort of reality. That much is obvious
4
AnonymousOP9h
i think it still has more to do with which 30% has been counted than what the actual result is
1
AnonymousOP9h
It’s more the results coming in that are worrisome tbh just because right now the coalition block lead is so so large. And like I said the very last bit of votes tend to favor them
1
Anonymous#49h
I hope your optimistic take is closer to reality. All I know is if he comes out of this as prime minister my whole family is quite literally packing their bags and relocating. And they won’t be alien

AnonymousOP9h
* alone
1
AnonymousOP9h
i’d be really really shocked if exit polls were that wrong
1
AnonymousOP9h
yeah it would be a catastrophe
1
Anonymous#49h
but remember some of the way votes come in is just which polling stations count faster, and none of the double envelope votes are in

Anonymous#49h
its def a stressful night though, i hope you can take care of yourself. whatever happens in the end, we’ll know soon enough. i really am optimistic though
