I wanted to learn how to freestyle rap, and I saw a Reddit post saying to try flowing to a beat and specifically trying to NOT rhyme at all, as long as you don’t stop saying things and being on beat, and then I gave it a try and couldn’t stop rhyming
Dude I had an English teacher tell me to try freestyling a few years ago and when I actually gave it a try and found out it was completely doable I was like floored. Now I spend an hour or two doing it every time I do a long drive and it’s so much fun

Sucks cause it seems like something I’d get flamed for as an awkward white guy with no musical experience but I just love it

I think unless you’re in front of a massive crowd for a show, or in a battle, most people would probably be really supportive. It’s hard to do any kind of performance in public, and people know that.

Nah, I literally just started today in the shower, lol. I’ve done a lot of kung fu and lion dance performances though, and my girlfriend is really into dancing, and both of our communities are always super supportive regardless of skill level.

The girl I’ve been going on dates with just told me yesterday that the one type of music she can’t stand is rap 😖

Lmk if you ever wanna hop on a beat tho! I think it’d be fun to get two novices on a beat just to see what we can throw together
