
Sydney Sweeney did an American Eagle ad with really weird undertones. On top of it being overtly sexual and more about her body than the product, which probably wouldn’t have gotten much of a reaction considering her past brand deals, this one had a really weird taste of hitler-esque eugenics. The script was meant to be a play on the phonology of “genes/jeans,” where Sweeney said that her “jeans/genes” were the best and everyone should want to have them.
