as a guy, what we actually don’t have time for is the idea that women are “distracting”. when it’s not that, we are socialized to trap women in a picket fence fantasy. when you unlearn that misogyny you end up realizing that everything you’ve learned about gender and women is subordinated to marketplace logic. just as we all have time for leisure, we all have time for a relationship. the reason we perceive it as not having time for a relationship is bc of also the system that overworks us

and overworks women as well of course. not everyone gets into relationships yes, but i guess we treat it as a box to be be checked instead of letting things come as they go, find their way into our lives.
