Yeah, my parents definitely raised a better child the second time around. Not sure if it can be attributed to no spankings, or what. I quit piano as soon as they gave me the option to stop, after years of hating every minute of it. He plays 10 different instruments (not an exaggeration), gets his homework done without a fight, and asked specifically for a flip phone instead of a smartphone. He bought, restored and learned how to sail a sailboat last year. And he’s a fucking 8th grader!
