On the one hand, passing legislation to address imaginary problems so you can accuse your political opponents of being pro strippers-in-school is disingenuous, irresponsible, and a complete waste of time and public funds On the other hand, the implication that it’s ok for this to happen exactly once is a hilarious caveat to voting against it
If you ban something, people who want to do evil with said thing will find a way to get their hands on it. The same argument is used in terms of abortion. If someone wants to do harm with a firearm, they will. There are already laws that prevent guns from entering school grounds, but evil people don’t care about rules.
For one moment, one singular moment, I need this government to get serious. No, I do not mean Trump’s specifically. The US government has a problem with truth, factuality, and sense—it’s HAD a problem long before any of us were even a thought. In fact, say for a moment we just dog pile on DT— Rep. Miller isn’t even in his cabinet. Does that alone not perfectly showcase the aforementioned problems? Am I making sense? .-.
Nobody who specifically dogs on the Trump administration are eating and I don’t say that bc I’m a “Trump supporter”—I’d rather get slapped with a cactus. The problem is that people aren’t seeing the chronic issue with our government. This is not the first time we’ve been looked at like we’re fools by our own government. The dogpiling on Trump is so dumb bc people forget that dumb shit like what’s going on now is a disease that will only get worse the more we forget about the past.
I know several instances where teachers snapped on students both physically and verbally. They didn’t have guns so obviously there were no students shot. You can’t go “there’s a mental health crisis” then exclude the possibility of teachers being apart of that mental health crisis. Allowing teachers to have guns is poorly thought out.
Snapping instances where youve thought “If this teacher had a gun on them right now, they would murder this student in front of 30 people?” Sorry but I dont see that happening. As for the “poorly thought out” point, imagine caveats such as faculty firearms must be concealed and carriers must go through a psychological evaluation and marksmanship course. Im also open to hear solutions for making schools a tougher target for shooters, since thats what I think the main problem is.
