2022, its mind blowing that these people are neutral or they hate their mother. I understand that I don’t know what their situation is, but I would give anything to hear her voice again. I also grew up with a single mom so I had to put my life on hold to help take care of my younger brother.

Tbh, same. She hasn't ever really been a great mom. And she deserted us/moved several states away when I was 10/11. No relationship with ANY of her 5 kids whatsoever. Is what it is tho. Did remind her of all this recently too and she pretty much ignored but acknowledged what I said at the same time.
