I’m a straight male but I use the non-gendered bathrooms all the time because they are usually 1 person bathrooms and you can lock them. I call them the VIP bathrooms.

Not feeling like a gender doesn’t mean you don’t have one. Many men aren’t masculine and many women aren’t feminine. They’re still men and women.

i don’t conform to being a man or a woman, being myself just feels right. if you’d ask me what gender i feel safest in i’d say neither

Again, not conforming to or ā€œfeelingā€ like a certain gender has nothing to do with which gender you are.

I’d never be apart of that community personally. No hate, it just makes me sad that you’re lost and confused. ā€œActing like I’m insane for knowing myselfā€ …. Sounds like you don’t know yourself, you don’t identify with a gender… u def don’t know urself 🤣

oh no i know myself and myself is most comforted by they them pronouns while identifying as a lesbian. without those idk who i WOULD be. you are being hateful to a community, nonbinary people are people too. no matter what gender your brain wants them to conform to

Lesbian would mean you’re a woman who likes other women… my fault you think im being hateful, I’m just trying to understand but I fear I just don’t. Never said you’re not a person, just think you’re lost and mentally ill

not conforming to a gender but being a man or woman makes you GNC! being non-binary makes you non-binary :)

you’re not born as a man or woman, children don’t understand gender until ages 2-3 and develop a more stable identity at 4-5. you clearly mean sex assigned at birth, or ASAB. sex is different from gender, and they are different topics :)

ā€œSex is different from genderā€ is a subjective, recent point of view that is largely rejected by most English speakers and is quickly falling out of fashion.

I can tell you’ve done literally zero research on this because quite literally every point you made is wrong šŸ’€ one of the most egregious being how it’s a ā€œrecent point of view.ā€ hundreds of cultures worldwide over thousands of years have more than two genders as a well-understood concept.

Literally nothing wrong about it. It began in the 1950s by John Money, a psychologist most famous for reassigning David Reimer at age 2, ruining his life and later abusing him until he took his own life at 38.

Naturally it hasn’t caught on very well outside of the American intelligentsia. Go to India (where the most English speakers live) and almost no one would make a distinction between the two words. Even dictionaries didn’t until extremely recently.

I assumed you meant English speakers in America, since that’s where we live. this is a college app for Americans, in case you didn’t know

Money is a travesty to sociology & his experiments do not represent the reality of gender, they just brought attention to it in the US. gender has always existed, we simply haven’t noticed, termed, or defined it in most of Western culture. for example, Two-Spirit is a relatively recent word for English-speakers, but it was coined as a reference to all of the ā€œthird-genderā€ identities of indigenous cultures, which have existed forever.
