Acetaminophen was discovered 30 years prior to when autism was discovered. It was the 1880s when acetaminophen (what Tylenol is made of) was discovered and usage started.

lmfaoooooo so an extremely common pain med was released at the same time literally hundreds of still-in-use medications were developed and invented owing to advancements in biochemistry, so your point is…what?

My point is that the original post is meaningless. I am not taking a stance one way or another as to what “Tylenol” does. I am pointing out however that acetaminophen was around decades before the first diagnosis of autism. Tylenol is irrelevant.

Yes, acetaminophen was discovered before autism, bus was not therapeutically used until Tylenol came out in 1950. Before then the old stuff was toxic to humans.

It started in 1893 with it was prescribed in clinical trials. It was more widely given as time went on. However, if the first diagnosed autistic person was born in 1933. I’m still not arguing for or against it being a cause of autism. I’m saying, the dates are an inconvenient truth for anyone arguing about Tylenol being invented in the 1950s.

Also an inconvenience to have this out there. But again, not saying it is a direct cause of autism.
