This is why I think that we should remove the pledge of allegiance from schools until kids are old enough to understand what they're actually saying. There are only 3 countries that have had pledges of allegiance: 1940s Germany, North Korea, and the USA.

I understand the confusion of how somebody could say something without knowing what it means for so long, but you also have to remember that children are made to say it from day 1, every day, 180 school days a year, until high school graduation.
