I mean let’s not ignore the context, those guys raped a drugged woman knowing full well what they were doing and Clancy killed her children in the depths of postpartum psychosis. Frat guys knowingly doing what frat guys always are know to do is quite different from a mental health crisis.

No one supports what Lindsay Clancy did, people support her getting help and being in a mental institution. When people say she is “not guilty”, that means not criminally responsible due to her mental state. Regardless of her mental state, what she did is wrong and nobody is saying otherwise

“Both are wrong” type oversimplifications are going to be the death of intellectual conversations in America. Jaywalking and torture are both bad too but does saying as much add anything to add to the conversation?
