This is about ABC using a terrible take that a lot of people were offended by to jettison a late night host with terrible ratings, and about the FCC enforcing its rules around hoaxes because what Kimmel said was demonstrably false. It also follows a long list of conservative voices canceled for about the same thing or less, and now we’re getting surprised pikachu face when it happens to someone on the left.

kimmel didnt say anything, he showed a clip of trump not caring about kirk's death beyond a single statement and deciding to change the subject to his ballroom, which he has consistently shown he cares more about than your first amendment rights and then him being taken off air for it LMAOOO go watch the clip

By the way, Kimmel’s crappy ratings and the two ABC affiliates pulling his show over the remarks had way more to do with his show getting pulled than the FCC. Kimmel hasn’t been funny for a couple of decades and I’m sure they saw it as an easy opportunity to separate.

kimmel's ratings are just as low as everyone elses because generally everyone has abandoned cable, all of the ratings are low, he is one of ABC's top performing shows, much like stephen colbert who was also pulled from his station for censorship reasons, this is not the first time this has happened nor will it be the last and this was directly cited as a goal of project 2025, but again you clearly dont think critically
