You’re gonna have to do your own research on this one to understand it. I can’t remember the details but I was disgusted to learn about it.

i did do my research. actually, the history of ANTI-abortion is far more racist than pro-abortion. they wouldn’t let black women have abortions bc they took their babies and sold them off…

Well good, and it’s a complicated history. Yes it’s racist. But they also literally put these clinics in black populated areas to give black women “easier access” to abortions. Black babies were sometimes sold but white people also didn’t want more black babies around. More abortion clinics in black areas meant less black babies to be born. It was strategic. It was never about being pro abortion. Just anti black. This type of history pains me as a black woman.

i understand and i would apologize but i have nothing to do with things that happened before i was born yk? but i would like to do more research on the topic since i know how complicated of a history america has. idk with everything out rn…. i wouldnt be surprised if it all was just as bad if not worse than what the surface level research shows. however, the video that comment is on, people are GENUINELY comparing slavery to abortion. all the replies to that comment are people saying

“right bc abortion is way worse than slavery” um hello they literally skinned people and turned them into furniture and shoes. like i genuinely cannot fathom how people are anti-abortion so much so to where they say its worse than the black genocide in america

I understand and you don’t need to apologize for anything. They’re definitely off of perc talking that way. Every part of what happened to black people during(and after) slavery was way worse than abortion could ever be. Ethnic Studies and Gender Studies courses are a great place for learning about these topics if you ever have the time. It’s never been about people’s morals when it comes to anti-abortion and equal rights. There’s always ties back to our racist history and people’s prejudice.

i understand completely. i just seriously cant wrap my mind around racism. especially with how bad it has been in the past. its just not my nature and i cant understand how it can be. not too off topic but kinda, the only reason people want to control abortion is to control women and their bodies but also… to keep the elites food supply alive because we know they picked from foster systems like it was an apple tree. another example of how racist shit is rn, Adriana Smith

was a black women who was literally kept alive to be a human incubator despite her families wishes. it genuinely makes me sick. it makes me genuinely scared for the future of black women and women as a whole. its just fucking disgusting and anyone who agrees with that are fucking psychotic

I hate hearing about Adriana’s story but it’s one that needs to be told. And now the baby is basically disabled all because of what they did to her. It’s all so exhausting. SO many things in this country that people don’t bat an eye at are rooted in racism and we’re never going to past it as a society if we don’t acknowledge these things and change them. That means acknowledging why Planned Parenthood type clinics started and so much more. I’m tired but I will not stop pushing for change.
