I do think some government programs are intended to be temporary and some it’s fine to be on your whole life. For example, disability benefits are something people need their whole life.

Dig deeper than that. Why was the government created? Because the Articles of Confederation failed abysmally. So the Constitution was written to unite the states as a formal country. That very same document outlined things the treasury and who can levy taxes. In fact, it specifically states that Congress can levy taxes to provide for the general welfare.

Studies consistently show that the amount of people just mooching off the government is way lower than politicians are telling you. Most people who get benefits do work, and the benefits they get are still minuscule. No one is getting their entire life paid for by tax dollars without working a day in their lives. The Nick Shirley videos were proven fake. The daycares he went to were found to have no fraud going on. They just didn’t open the door because a crazy man and his camera crew were banging on the door and screaming, demanding to see children. And illegal immigrants don’t qualify for government benefits so it’s literally impossible for them to get SNAP or Medicaid. You just think they do because politicians say so. Use your fucking brain.
