i think a lot of the ideas are good and the rest of the band, but julian has his head too far up his own ass. he’s always been a little egoed but the decrying of critics not knowing art when he uses ai “art” is pathetic. it’s also hard to have any kind of vulnerability when we never get to hear his actual voice. i know damn well that guy can still hit a falsetto

My friend and I thought it was fine, but we also agreed that their other music is so much better. So why would we listen to meh Strokes when we can just queue up Comedown Machine? 😭 New album just feels like it was supposed to be a Voidz release

Honestly only song I enjoy off it is Dine and Dash and that’s probably because you can barely hear the autotune. Liars Remorse is one of the worst strokes songs ever 😭

i absolutely loved it! i may be in the minority, but im glad they’re moving away from the sound they started with in is this it and room on fire. lots of bands don’t grow as they make music, but i can see more for the band now because of this release. weird how divided the fan base is on this. the autotune is a stylistic choice by julian, i think it fits in on the production and its not overwhelming to me. i guess it isn’t palatable for everyone, though. still gonna buy the cd
