When I say “pregnant person” and people correct me and say “You mean pregnant woman?🤓” I know they’re just being transphobic but it also gives the impression that you don’t see women as people???

True 🤔 I'd hear the transphobic way first but antagonizing them with "so women aren't people?" sounds amazing

I mean, transphobia is inherently misogynistic. There’s never a transphobe who genuinely cares for or about women.

transphobia is largely based in misogyny, so transphobes ascribe to a lot of misogynistic rhetoric. to answer #10’s question since I have #5 blocked

Why be so vague? Woman references a uniquely beautiful scope of personhood and you think they’re taking away a persons personhood?

trans men and some intersex men have uteruses and need medical care related to them, and by adopting more inclusive language and practices, health care professionals can better serve these populations who are often overlooked or outright discriminated against within the healthcare industry

and some men have uteruses. transphobes are genuinely so stupid, your blind hatred for trans women makes you forget that we’re not the only trans people in the world. and your hatred for those different than you keeps you from acknowledging the fact that other people still need medical care and deserve respect even if you disagree with their choices

you’re the one lumping intersex people in with women?????? you also clearly don’t know anything about treating mental health disorders. let’s not feign concern for people as an excuse to infantilize them and insult them. not to mention regardless of if you believe trans men’s experiences of themselves, they still need healthcare and your insistence on insulting and infantilizing them is exactly the kind of barrier that keeps them from getting it

But like, why does it matter what you think abt transgender ppl? You’re not trans, it just reads as a bigot who’s obsessed abt trans ppl and needs everyone to know they don’t like them

Except acting on being trans is a choice. Being a certain race is not. Otherwise I could just become a black guy if I wanted to. And your explanation is what doesn’t make sense—a lot of the point of this app is to give unsolicited opinions on anything

upvote -9 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #10 19h

You are purposely missing the point. My explanation is that if you give unsolicited opinions abt trans ppl, ppl will think you are transphobic. You have said opinions, and ppl think ur transphobic. What’s not making sense?

And therefor preferring to be specific and say women assumes that the personhood is taken away from the woman?

upvote -2 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #12 15h

“preferring to be specific” no, the OP used an accurate term and others are being inaccurate by being overly specific. that doesn’t make sense unless they either don’t consider women to be people or (more likely) they just want to be transphobic.

because trans men and non-binary people can get pregnant, is this genuinely so hard to understand? OP’s not even policing y’all saying “pregnant women,” they’re saying it’s weird for y’all to intentionally erase pregnant trans people by correcting SOMEONE ELSE’S language. because y’all are snowflake transphobes.

Informal fallacies are flaws in the content of an argument, not the form, so even if the fallacy is technically present, it doesn’t necessarily mean the argument is invalid or unsound, and indeed can be valid and/or sound
