I have a nuanced take on therapy. We're over therpaized as a society. And our mental health is being manipulated by our food and water supply basically being pharmaceuticals and our media bombarding us with negativity and false depictions of what life is. No problem with it existing or even going. But traditionally therapy had an end date. These days it's treated as a subscription service.

On the AI water arguments, you guys realize that the water isn’t WASTED right? Same thing with chip fabs they take nuts amounts of water but recycle 90% of it such that it becomes relatively small usage. The numbers they use to shoot at how bad AI facilities are is are mostly from max flow rates and disregards recycling. No waste products are being introduced into the water unless you wanna consider heat going into the pipes and some metals getting dissolved in.

Yes all of this costs energy and water, but these server centers use A LOT more much more rapidly. A lot of people living near these server centers don't even have any water in their homes because of just how much water these centers suck up.

oh yeah all the benefits like how illiteracy rates are skyrocketing because “the computer can just read and write for me”. Also you saying “it’s all fine” is so untrue, even phones pollute! But AI is polluting and using water at an even greater, unprecedented rate. Phones and nuclear power are not even comparable to AI data centers. Obviously we need to address all things contributing to pollution and climate change but acting like AI isn’t an extremely significant factor in that is insane.

also I’d like to point out that not everybody “throws out” their phones when a new one comes out like you said. I had an iphone 6 for nine years before I had to upgrade due to software issues. please do a tiny bit of research I’m begging you. AI accounts for much less than 1% of our power consumption and freshwater usage. computation is one of the only parts of our current society that is sustainable. the way we eat and commute need to be radically restructured if we want our species to survive, the way we compute does not. when you push the “but muh AI water” bullshit you are distracting from actual environmental issues, and big oil is grateful for your doing so

False, most of them are Jewish. Most Hebrews/Israelites never converted. Christianity only had a small following in Israel but a huge following in Phoenicia/Lebanon and elsewhere in the Roman Empire. There no evidence of mass conversion to Islam either, Israel has continually had a Jewish presence, though the percentage of Jewish people went down as Muslim colonizers moved in when the Rashidun Caliphaye invaded.

False, it’s the right of Jews/Hebrews to have sovereignty in their indigenous territory. It’s not mutually exclusive to Arabs having their own territory and from Arabs living in Israel or Jews living in Palestine. That’s like saying Native Americans trying to take back their territory from European colonizers made them “supremacists.” It’s like saying Poles who took back their territory from Germans and Russians at the end of WWI were “supremacists.”

Not vague locations they may have roamed, specific location they indisputably are the original inhabitants of proven via history. Also, when enemy forces use civilian infrastructure for military operations maybe you should blame them for using civilians as human shields.

Hamas fighters aren’t poor starving kids, those are two different groups of people, starving kids who get shot by Hamas for trying to access airdrops and Hamas made up of adults who attack and murder others.
