Before this thread explodes, i just wanna say that as a pro-Palestine person this is one of the worst problems we face. There are bad ppl who come in and hijack this message and twist it into something evil. “stop genocide” doesn’t mean “you should hate ppl who have this certain ethnicity”. Totally misses the point
I do agree with this as a person in support of Palestine, but I also cannot stand the way the Zionists are trying to paint people as anti-semitic for saying “end the genocide.” It muddles down what antisemitism actually is. I don’t hate anyone for being Jewish, but I will not tolerate anyone who believes genocide is the right thing to do.
everyone just has to chill. there’s horrible people in every religion. there’s horrible people in every country. While Israel may be committing genocide doesn’t mean your average jew is evil. It’s the elites of all shapes and sizes. stop attacking each other and stand up against the people dividing us.
Let’s be real. Jewish people head a lot of the degeneracies in America and are committing a genocide in Gaza right now. The Rabbi openly mocked Jesus Christ a few days ago. We went to war with Iraq for no reason and Israel was the only country that gained from it. It’s not hate towards Jewish people in general. Just like black people commit a large portion of crimes, Jewish people make a lot of selfish decisions that harm others. You can’t pull the anti-semitic card for criticism.
That’s really not true. The reason it’s such a huge issue in the USA is because we are funding all of it and helping do these things. I’ve talked about other genocides that are happening around the world and places using human trafficking and slavery, but the biggest issue is when our government is actively funding the genocide and supporting it. Unlike what’s happening with the Uyghurs in China and Christian’s in Nigeria, we are playing a HUGE part in these crimes
How are you gonna argue against this? It’s a fact. Antizionism not being antisemitism doesn’t mean that it justifies antisemitism, yet antisemitic hate crimes are up hundreds %. Just look at any social media post about any Jews. Hell, even this one as you said. Claiming antisemitism isn’t a massive issue among the pro-Palestine movement isn’t even burying your head in the sand, it’s just ignorant
American business definitely profit off of slave labor and taking advantage of situations in other countries (which is super problematic) but it’s a different story when it’s our standing government that is funding genocides and THATS why it’s a big issue, not because they are a Jewish state.
I mean, people have definitely used this situation as an excuse for being super antisemitic 💀 it’s not helpful to be like “they aren’t really pro Palestine” or anything, it’s better to address the antisemitism when you see it and call out when someone is calling something antisemitic falsely. I’ve seen ppl post some crazy Nazi propaganda type posts or comments recently so it’s definitely become less taboo to say that shit
That’s the problem with this whole thing. People who call protesting genocide antisemitic ruin it for those of us trying to call out actual antisemitism. And people who harass Jewish people in the name of Palestine ruin it for those of us just trying to advocate against the murder of innocent civilians
And I don’t respect someone who will criticize a text that they not only never read but don’t even know what it looks like, what it’s about, what language it’s in, and the fact that it isn’t the holy text of the Jews. Doesn’t sound like you’re in a position to be lecturing anyone on the Talmud.
I have far right family members, doesn’t mean I condone their actions or think they are right. Having family members that are participants or complicit in a genocide means you call that shit out even if it hurts your relationship. End of story. Loving someone making bad decisions isn’t ignoring what they are doing, it’s calling it out.
Does it suck to have family that does bad things? Absolutely (Not that everyone living in Israel agrees with their government and the IDF’s actions). But that doesn’t give a free pass to be complicit in it too. Fighting against genocide doesn’t suddenly stop when someone you know or love is the perpetrator.
