Because hate and love are the same thing, 2 sides of the coin called passion. They are both very intense feelings that can be expressed through physical exertion

I could only ever have hate sex if it was just a little argument. Anything big imma be too pissed to try and be passionate and forget the bs. Not to mention half the time hate sex is just another way to stop an argument and sweep the disagreement under the rug. I feel like there’s never really any true conflict resolution that comes from it. So yeah toxic but it’s hot when I see it in the movies, but if it were irl only thing that would be hot is my blood boiling lol.
